Learning to Sew

Sewing is so much fun! Once you know the basics, you can make so many things! You can learn to sew by hand or learn to sew using a sewing machine. I have had a lot of fun teaching young and old how to sew.

Beginner Sewing Classes

This is a four week class to help you learn how to sew using your own sewing machine. That way, when you want to tackle a project at home, you'll feel comfortable using your own machine! We will cover everything from terminology, machine parts and maintenance to various machine stitches, notions and tools, making a heart-shaped pillow, hemming pants, sewing buttons, and hand stitching.

Make a Hedgehog Stuffie!
Learn to make a cute little headgehog stuffie! This class will help you learn hand stitching and gathering and you end up with a cute stuffie!
Cost: $25

Mommy & Me Beginner Sewing

This is a beginner sewing class that involves your child. Both of you learn how to sew (or you can brush up on your skills) in this class. It is geared toward helping young children learn to sew. We will learn the basic stitches and make a fun project in each class.
$100 (includes parent and student)

Intermediate Mommy & Me Class

This class will pick right up from the beginner class. We will review some of the things from the beginner class and jump in to new skills such as reading patterns. This class will be student driven - meaning the skills the students need to learn will be what directs the class and the projects will be developed accordingly.
